In James Bagwell, Rodger Kennedy, is a detective trying to find justice for the murder of a victim, a young boy, Eric Laughton, whose body was found lifeless with a red tie, with his throat slit by the river but the killer is unknown. No single evidence prove anyone guilty. He wouldn't let the case die down, determined, He took it upon himself to investigate the case, he detained two suspects who were innocent. One of the suspects detained, Jerry, a mentally disabled young man, who claimed he saw the boy before his death that day, was controlled by fear, could not answer questions due to fear and after his release, he committed suicide. Rodger almost gave up the case, the guilt of the death of an innocent man was now on him. Helen a young black activist and a detective, came to team up with him. Having the same drive to uncover the situation. The case took a new turn along the way, both of them BOUND and fell in love. But Helen had something Rodger never knew about. What could that be?
