Heart & Soul: A Journey Through Life in Poetry For fifty years, I lived and grew up in Upper Michigan, surrounded by memories-some beautiful, some painful. Eventually, I left, seeking peace in Minnesota, where I could begin again, away from the weight of the past. Through it all, poetry became my refuge, my voice, and my way of making sense of the love, loss, happiness, tragedy, and trauma that have shaped me. I base my poems on things I have experienced.A 2nd book is in the works, expanding what has already been put in Book 1.Book 2 will include the struggle of Mental Illnesses, The Seasons and Pets, Animals and Nature. It's going to be beautiful. I have started on it, but wanted to make more books with more content put together. I really enjoy creating poetry to express feelings and the ability to use your imagination. It's a great feeling, sometimes deep feelings.
