"Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere, and sometimes, in the middle of nowhere you find yourself" author unknown It is in those moments of solitude, when I'm out in the vastness of Nature, where there is a particular clarity about so many things. It is about removing the "noise," both externally and internally, allowing ourselves to be open, to make room for glimmers and epiphanies. It is in those places where the dark clouds of grief make room for the healing light of the sun. It is in those places, that I want and need to dwell. In July of 2022 I lost my precious daughter Melissa to tragic circumstances. Mother Nature has been instrumental in helping me find solace, just as she did for my daughter. This collection of poetry and perspectives is inspired by my experiences of the healing power of Nature, many of which have occurred in the Clark County Wetlands Park by my home in Nevada and in my garden and at the beach by my home in Long Island, New York.
