Overview
John Herlihy, poet and essayist, graduated from Boston University and Columbia University in New York City. He worked for many years in Europe, the Middle East and Far East, teaching academic and creative writing to university students. Now semi-retired, he still teaches Freshman Composition and research at Barry University in Miami., Florida. The poems in this collection offer a powerful and introspective reflection concerning life, destiny, love, loss and the contradictions within the human condition. The poems eloquently capture the themes of growth, strength, resilience and the cyclical nature of life as witnessed in the phases of the moon and the variation of the seasons.
