What's This Salvation All About

What seems to be the main focus for Christianity? Getting saved!!! What's that all about? Saved from what? Hell? God's wrath? Or is there more to it than that? Who are we being saved from? What are we being save to? Does salvation have anything to do with this life today? Shouldn't "saved" people be and look different than those who are not saved? Isn't there more to salvation than where we go when we die? What does sin have to do with salvation? Life in this present world is filled with hardships, failures, conflicts and anxieties. Can we be saved from this life's struggles? What about broken relationships? What about my personal struggles from within? At a larger scale, the whole world struggles. How big is salvation? Do we have any resources from God to empower us in our struggles?
