Through his sources and good old fashion leg work he follows leads that run him afoul of the corrupt police, the mafia, communists, and Hollywood elites. With the help of a colleague and a high-priced call girl he is able to unravel the mystery of who killed Clara Bonnet and possibly lose his life in the process.
