He served as a chief judge in Jerusalem and then Beirut. After living in Medina for some time, he returned to Beirut and later passed away there in the beginning of the month of Ramadan. He has left a vast collection of works, on a variety of subjects, but many are focused on the character and being of the Prophet ﷺ.
