When I finally hit rock bottom, I felt the Lord's presence the most. When I finally realized that I couldn't do this anymore on my own, I truly turned to Christ for the love and forgiveness that I needed. I realized that I was insanely broken and hurt, but still loved and forgiven. I realized that even in the midst of my depravity and sin, even at my lowest, my worth and true identity had not withered or changed. Poetry became my escape, it became the glue that held my soul together. Looking back, I now realize that he gave me this to draw my back to Himself.
