Seeking God: 30 Day Devotional

I vividly recall a conversation I had with my grandson, Jaxon, when he was just four years old.We were discussing the life of Martin Luther King, and somehow, the conversation veeredtowards the topic of preachers. I mentioned to him that he, too, was a preacher. To my surprise, Jaxon confided in me that he didn't particularly enjoy listening to preachers. Intrigued, I askedhim, "Why not?" He replied with childlike candor, "Because I don't always understand whatthey're talking about." Then, looking earnestly into my eyes, he said, "Nana, when you preach, just talk so I can understand you."Jaxon's simple yet profound response resonated deeply with me and has stayed with me over theyears. It made me reflect on how often, as adults, we leave church services without a trueunderstanding of the preacher's message.When I set out to write this book, my primary goal was to make it straightforward andaccessible. Before crafting each entry, I sought divine guidance from God. His inspiration wouldmanifest in various forms - sometimes through a song or a cherished memory, and other times, itwould flow directly from the pages of my Bible as I prayed for His guidance. Within the pages ofthis book, you will find plain and simple truths, including some of my personal stories andexperiences. My intention is to assure the reader that they are not alone in their feelings orexperiences.As Christians, it's imperative for us to remember that we were not always saved. It is our divineduty to assist others on their journey toward Christ. In these pages, I've candidly shared mypersonal experiences and the invaluable lessons I've learned along my spiritual journey.
