In this third installment of the Lilly DeFranco saga, Lilly continues her employment with Mexico City crime boss Jeronimo Hermosa who is in the process of divesting himself of his criminal enterprises. To this end, Lilly finds herself overseeing an agave harvest when an unexpected encounter with someone from her past leads to her involvement in a web of vengeance and subterfuge. A tragic chapter from Hermosa's past resurfaces in the form of Miguel Becerra, a cartel capo intent of killing Hermosa to avenge his brother's death.
