I cried out to Jesus, "Show me what David learned in the wilderness and what YOU, Jesus, had in the wilderness, that got YOU through!" For the next 3 weeks, I would get the outline of this book and so much more. What God showed me was not a quick fix, but a guide for victory in the wilderness. So what did David learn? He learned how to encourage himself in the Lord by walking in the principles of faith. I once heard someone say, "A stone didn't actually kill Goliath, David's faith did!" The secret to walking, talking, living, and of course defeating giants, all while in the wilderness, is through faith. The wilderness is about a deep work, gaining maturity, and growing up. It combines the trying of our faith, the purification of every motive and attitude, and a renewing of the mind until we are so established in the love of God we reflect Jesus in the wilderness. I want to make it clear, I have not arrived as a spiritual giant. I do not have all the answers, some things I will never understand, and I will not stand as a judge on anyone else's Faith walk.
