This story describes how Mustafa, a British-born Pakistani, comes of age in a small English town. It's the 1970's and we watch how life is for young Asians in a predominantly white town. As he grows up, the book follows his experiences and his naive honesty, provides the reader with a very simple outlook on life. Friendships are forged and hard decisions have to be made.
