When Sherry marries and moves to a small town in East Tennessee, she is madly in love and excited about starting her new life with her handsome new husband. Up until that time, his abuse had been emotional and psychological, but a night of physical violence leaves her battered and bruised. Her spirit nearly broken, she struggles to find the courage to give up everything for freedom and an uncertain future.
