A true story about a family starting a family tradition to weekly spend time together eating donuts, reading books and the Bible, and playing. During the busy times of life, parents need to slow down and enjoy the moments with their kids before they are grown and gone. Daddy Donut Day started with our first kid visiting donut and coffee shops together. Each kid joins (now 7) after they are a year old, and they get to enjoy smashing their face with delicious donuts and big smiles. An important part of the day beyond the books and play is reading the Bible. We read the Bible from start to finish as they grow up, so they learn that God loves them more than anyone else in the world -- even more than their parents! God teaches us parents to instruct them with words that match our life. Spending time with them, especially in the Bible, shows them the true value of life -- love.
