The Life of Ellie is a sweet story about a young boy named Carson and his special stuffed animal, Ellie the elephant. Carson receives Ellie in an unlikely way because she was meant for his baby sister. But once Carson sets his eyes on Ellie and her beautiful grey eyes, the two are inseperable. She provides comfort for all of the things he goes through as a child. They also go on lots of adventures - hiking in the mountians, trips to the beach and even to school! Now that Carson is getting older, he understands he will need to set Ellie aside and she will wait for a new turn to play. There are over 1500 words in this story. The art is hand-drawn in water colors. The author imagines as you read with your child, that they are snuggled with their favorite stuffy. It's a story that all ages can relate to - the love for a special stuffy.
