The Invisible Giant: My Testimony

This book is a memoir about my daughter Davina Floyd who died on May 9, 2020 from COVID-19. She developed an illness in the 12th grade that doctors could not diagnose. She went completely blind three weeks before her graduation in 2011. Her sight was restored and she was later diagnosed with Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO). A disease that had no cure. She battled this disease for ten years. Davina graduated from Culinary Arts in 2018 and became known as Chef Vina. She worked with an after school program and taught Culinary Arts to high school, middle, and to some elementary students. Since Davina had a compromised immune system, she developed COVID-19 in March 2020, was in ICU for 33 days, and passed on May 9, 2020.
