Castor is a honest girl with a younger brother. One day she comes across a nasty, wicked witch who is turning children into animals and gnomes. Castor is unfortunate and is turned into a cat with a very bushy tail. Her younger brother then comes to her aid and sees to it that she is saved, but not before being turned into a stone statue himself. Castor must do all she can to save the heroic brother and at the same time save all those unfortunate children turned into creatures and inanimate objects. Thanks to Castor's beautiful nature the situation is eventually fixed for all time to come. In total there are 25 full-colour pictures. The story is written in rhyme and told over 25 [four-line] verses.
