The Story Of My Life: It's Great To Be Me!

This is my story, from the day I was born until today when I am enjoying my life as a 38-year-old woman living with my adoptive parents, Peter and Angela, in Mareeba, in Far North Queensland, Australia. Despite having Down's Syndrome, I am very happy being who I am, and I am also hopeful for my future. I still have dreams!Yes, I do have some intellectual and physical disabilities (especially problems with my heart) which have been present since I was born?but this hasn't stopped me from living a very full and rich life, filled with much love, joy and laughter-and with lots of adventures. I am looking forward to telling you about some of these?My story is an extraordinary one and would not have been possible without the unstinting love and support from my Mum and Dad, my extended family, my friends and so many others with generous hearts. So, I am especially excited that my book will be available for my dear family and friends, all of whom I love very much.While they have all helped me to become the person I am today, the woman I was created to be, it hasn't all been 'one way'. I hold my family and friends very close in my heart, and the love I freely extend to them-and others-has a life of its own, and it has made a difference which is beyond measure, certainly beyond words, especially for my Mum and Dad. I really hope this this book-my story, my gift of love, and of hope-will bless all those who read it.
