DID YOU KNOW that the first US established political party didn't exist until 1791 (the Federalist Party)? Early US political parties were more like small groups and factions, and not established parties, so many years passed before an established party began. The only established parties back then were from England, the Whig and Tory Parties. This means that since the first English settlement at Jamestown in 1607, America existed without any political party system of its own for over 184 years. This book was written in order to demystify politics and parties in order to empower the people with political and historical information that every American should know. It will outline the history of political parties in a simplified form and how we can live and vote without them. The chapters will encompass: 1) The birth of political parties; general political history from American Colonies to present. 2) Thinking Independently: How to think and vote independently. Also, how we can vote without the parties involvement. 3) Church and State; how they were meant to be separate. 4) The current electoral process and a new proposed process that leaves the parties out of the process and gives it back to the people.
