The Tree Portal (Fenix And Furie'S Mr. Rabbit Tales)

It wasn't the old Cottonwood tree itself that intrigued Fenix and Furie. It was the huge round knothole at the base of the old tree that drew them. When one of the girls accidentally bumps a low hanging tree branch and the knothole swings open like the doorway it truly was, they find themselves in Edoux where their adventures begin. They are greeted by Mr. Rabbit, the Keeper of the Tree Portal, who gives them two magical gifts, a feather necklace which is actually a flying transportation device, and a silver bracelet which will enable them to instantly return to Mr. Rabbit's house if the girls find themselves in a dangerous situation.When the girls set off to rescue the Weasel Brothers from Witch Elsie, they find themselves in the middle of a diabolical plot to harm the talking animals of Edoux and to take over the peaceful and beautiful land. As their adventure unfolds, they make friends with the entertaining Weasel Brothers and the mysterious and sometimes obnoxious Thomas-the-Know-It-All Cat. They also learn to rely on their own problem-solving skills to help resolve the current crisis in Edoux. With each visit to Edoux, they find that Mr. Rabbit has another problem for them to solve, which inevitably leads to them making more friends and having yet another fine adventure.
