So you think you know God? You believe you are saved and you are going to spend eternity in heaven with Jesus. Think again! You may not know God as well as you think. In fact, you may not know Him at all. It depends on what you believe, what you have been taught and whether you have a personal history with Him. Much of what a man believes about God is what He has been taught about God. If he has been taught wrongly, he knows God wrongly. Regardless of how sincerely he believes, what he believes may not be true. This book is an account of our experience in coming to know the truth of the Lord; to truly know the Lord. It required a lot of unlearning and a lot of surrender. But it revealed to our hearts who God really is, what He is about, who we are and how what He is doing relates to us. The book is a collection of some of the lessons we received from the Lord over the last twenty-eight years. All that is written is the result of a personal walk with the Lord. There is nothing presented herein that was learned by way of academics, nor should it be read in such manner. It is with confidence that we say, that unless the reader is prepared to have every ounce of his or her belief structure challenged, there is no reason to proceed. The words written hereafter are not written to any mere man. On the contrary, the words of this book are directed to the one who intends to fully submit himself without delay to the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit and who understands that his life is the Lord's and not his own. Our beliefs about who God is, who we are, what faith is, and what salvation is, were but a few of the things that were shattered when the Lord spoke to us the lessons shared in this book. It was terrifying and agonizing at first. Then understanding was followed by freedom. A God that we never knew before, all of the sudden became real to us. His words became our life's bread and every false belief was destroyed. We desire this experience for every man, although we realize not every man wants such an experience. It is our sincere hope that as you read these words that the Lord will grant to you the same revelation as has been granted to us; that you may know Him, the One true God.
