Light from Water Freeing Jesus: Resurrecting the Teachings of Jesus from Corporate Christianity

Jesus had a simple way of teaching. He used easy to understand stories and parables. He attacked the Scribes and Pharisees (the priests and ministers of his day) for being legalistic hypocrites. However, Bible scholars and historians point out there are many discrepancies in the New Testament. Is it possible the "Good News" has contradictions and mistakes? How would Jesus feel about the Christian conglomerate, and how his teachings are presented today? Christianity has effected almost everyone's life, in both broad cultural and individual ways. Born of Irish and German Catholic decent, it had a great effect on mine. However, it seems the message of Jesus has been distorted in many ways by the Scribes and Pharisees of today. Jesus was taken down from the cross and placed in a tomb, so he could conquer sin, and death by his resurrection. Christianity placed him back on the cross as a powerful symbol of suffering and guilt. Prometheus was freed by Hercules, who will be the Hero for Jesus, Can he now be set free?
