Neeridae is a young woman who belongs to an early race of technologically advanced hominins, known as the Kleocines. When a man who calls himself "the Prophet" rises to power on the island of Heidland and demands the abandonment of all technology and the pursuit of knowledge, Neeridae finds herself in the middle of a battle between science and ideology. As civil unrest grows, and the conflict between Nature and technology escalates to violence, Neeridae is forced to do whatever she must to ensure the survival of her loved ones as Heidland descends into chaos.
