Pink Flamingos: 10 Siberian Interviews

Interviews with ten LGBT people in three cities of Siberia: Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, and Tomsk. People discuss their sexual orientation and how they were able to survive the secrecy and stigma associated with being sexual minorities. Men were put in prison camps and women were often institutionalized in psychiatric institutions. The interviewees also talk about their family backgrounds and the changes in political times.
