In 1939, ninth-grade teacher Miss Pringle died. Her students pledged to gather every five years to celebrate the ways Miss Pringle touched their lives. In 1959, eight of the thirty-five-year-old, former students gather in Rob's Diner in Lubbock, Texas. They are a diverse group.
