I will be frank with you. I have read quite a number of diet books as I looked for the simple recipes that even my dog Andy could follow. Sorry Andy! Anyway, admittedly, I don't have the time or patience to follow overly complicated recipes with complex ingredients that I never have in my home cupboard or are ridiculously expensive.This is the number 1 mistake I see unfortunately with many of the recipe books I read. They have a habit of including ingredients that can be overpriced or not common to the average household meaning the average supermarket down the road doesn't stock them. This brings me to my first issue. If you are writing a recipe eBook that everyone with an internet connection to Amazon.com will get access to, don't assume everyone who buys it will be American. Some of the recipe books I have read in the past overly use local US colloquialism for food names, measures, weights...sighs.It isn't fun cooking with a dictionary because you are trying to figure out what the exotic-sounding spice labelled Cilantro is- it turned out its good old - wait for it, Coriander!I'm not knocking American colloquialism. It just would be nice if next to aubergine, recipe books also state other known names - eggplant in this case or next to a zucchini (aka courgette) or rutabaga (just a turnip dear). Neither am I knocking Keto diet books written with US audiences in mind but such books are limiting their audience. It's annoying to keep having to put US/imperial and decimal weights into online converters all the time you are cooking.The second issue I have found is some recipe books lack macro nutrient count. They kind of assume you know this stuff. Keto puts emphasis on eating very low carbs so I kind of expect a recipe to state the carbohydrate count, protein count etc.In this recipe cookbook, I will take you through everything Keto, laying out what you need to know if you want to embark on a Keto lifestyle, including the ideal daily macro nutrient ratio, foods to avoid, and why pregnancy is not the best time for a low carb diet.
