Dating by the Book

Juliet Raphael, Literary Agent to the stars, in possession of weapons grade sarcasm, and a view of men that barely aligns with the Geneva convention, finds herself bereft of a Plus-One for an awards ceremony where she is tipped to win a prestige honour. With a messy and very public divorce leaving glowing wounds in her pride, and her agency suffering from a lack of clients and cash, Juliet needs that Plus-One in order to silence the brigade of concerned frowns and bounce her Agency back to solvency. Complicating this painful process is Jacque Noir, her sole client and drunken French chef with an aversion to finishing his damn cookery book, Pascal his moody brother who keeps telling everyone that things are going to get really bad, but refuses to go into details, her interfering sister, Tina, whose idea of finding a date is to randomly ask men on the street corner if they would like a good time, and last but no means least, Ron, a travelling salesman with a public nipple rubbing fetish who seems destined never to go away. Dating under these circumstances, Juliet had begun to realise, was not for the faint hearted, even if it was done - By the Book!
