Arturo Suarez was born in Ansermanuevo, Valle, and grew up in various corners of Colombia. He emigrated to the United States in 1961, after two years of elementary school, and returned to his native country in retirement in 2015. This is the story of his childhood, adolescence, and life as an immigrant in the great country of the north, where he remained for more than half a century.
