Devotional: What Is Your Today?

So often we say, "I'm getting ready to have my devotion time with God." Then ten minutes later, it's over. We tend to look at devotional time as picking up a devotional written by a prolific author or preacher, read their interpretation of Scripture, the Scripture associated, say a quick prayer and we're done. This is not what God imagined when He asked you to steal away and spend some time with Him. So, I ask, "How do you spend your devoted time with God?" This journal will help you discover wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God through the books of Ephesians and Colossians. Through reading, meditating on, and understanding His Word, you will mature as a believer. I want you to take this devoted opportunity to truly be with God. Yes, I am going to help you but I'm not going to do all of the work. This devotional is going to take you on a journey through the Bible where you get to understand Scripture for yourself by allowing you to form a deeper, more personal relationship with God. My prayer is for you to grow in your prayer life, your spiritual life, and become more intimate with the Father. As we prepare to journey and journal through these short books of the Bible, prepare your mind by giving honor and glory to the Father for allowing you the opportunity to get to know Him; to become intimate with Him. Through this journey, you will experience the agape love that God has for you. Through Scripture, you will see His perfect plan and will for your life. Submit your will fully to His so that you will be able to experience all that He has in store for your life, beloved. Enjoy your time with Him!
