Press On To Know The Lord

PRESS ON TO KNOW THE LORDGod encourages every man, every woman, to "press on" in His Word. "So let us know, let us press on to know the LORD" Hosea 6:3.The criteria the Lord uses to determine entrance into the kingdom of heaven is not weighing your sins against your good works on a balance scale. It is not the deeds you may have performed in His name. It is not some conformity to a particular religion. The single criteria He uses to determine entrance into kingdom of heaven is that He knows you in an intimate, personal, dynamic, and spiritual manner. "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord, ' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' "It implies you know Him in the same way. How does one know the Lord intimately?Jesus declares the necessity of the new birth: "You must be born again...Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."This is the beginning of life; this is real life; this is eternal life. This is the apostle Paul's highest priority in life. "That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection." Perhaps this day you who formerly were far off will be brought near by the blood of Christ."Who can tell?"Perhaps this is the day you will "believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.""Who can tell? Who can tell?"
