There was nothing remarkable about her home or family or her life for that matter; until her sixteenth birthday. As if the car wasn't enough of a shock, Katheryn was certain her parents had partaken of some hallucinogenic when they told her she could change at the precise moment she turned sixteen. When they reshaped and sat before her as wolves, she forgot all about the cake, the car, and everything else. On the night of her first change, her parents took her hunting, reminding her she was not to partake of human flesh; that it could be addictive and would not end well for her. While attending college a few years later, a young man tried to force himself upon her. The inner beast surfaced and in the rage, tasted the forbidden meat. Katheryn now struggles to keep her inner wolf on a short leash, though under certain circumstances, its presence is required.
