The knight accepts a perilous quest by Northern Rougn's King Thibault to vanquish Meuryk and return with the head of the Shadow Wizard's staff. Only then can Jehan and the king's daughter, Princess Katherine, be reunited after years of being forced apart by their feuding kingdoms.
