Thought Soldier: The Infinite Parallel

Long ago, the emergence of sentient life created thought energy, an unanticipated force that threatened to overwhelm the universe, but the early races fought for a solution and created a pocket universe into which the incorporeal reality of the dream world would be syphoned. That pocket universe is being consumed by a hostile entity and its collapse will mean the end of reality, as the laws of thought and dream pour back, unchecked, into our universe. Now, the last of the alien sentinels from the first age is calling upon serial under-achiever Laura, since she holds dormant within her the one power that might stop the devastation. With little choice, Laura reluctantly tries to harness and train her gift until, accompanied by an ex she thought she loved and a best friend she definitely hates, she must venture out of our universe and into an inescapable battle across the reality of dreams. The world she leaves behind is dying, the people decaying in their own skins as the laws of physics collapse. No pressure, then.
