En este libro se presentan los resultadosdel análisis de las representaciones sociales y la patrimonialización delregistro arqueológico del pasado indígena en el Área de Ventania de la provinciade Buenos Aires, Argentina. La investigación se caracteriza por sutransdisciplinariedad, dentro de la cual dialogan perspectivas teóricas ymetodológicas propias de la Comunicación, los Estudios Culturales, laAntropología y la Arqueología. Un objetivocentral del libro es analizar las representaciones sociales construidas porinstituciones oficiales, museos y agentes del campo cultural, considerando lasprácticas que relacionan a la comunidad con el registro arqueológico de laspoblaciones cazadoras recolectoras que habitaron la región desde haceaproximadamente 6.000 años. La investigación permitió explicar las relacionesde poder que operan en el vínculo entre presente y pasado, enmarcadas en lasinteracciones comunicativas entre los sujetos, su pasado y el patrimonioarqueológico. Asimismo, aportó elementos para la elaboración de políticas dedistinción, divulgación y preservación del registro arqueológico. This book presents the results of theanalysis of social representations and the patrimonialization of the indigenouspast in the Ventania Area of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Theresearch is characterized by its transdisciplinarity, within which theoreticaland methodological perspectives from communication studies, cultural studies,anthropology and archaeology converse. A central objective of the book is toanalyse the social representations constructed by official institutions,museums, and agents of the cultural field, considering the practices thatrelate the community to the archaeological record of the hunter-gathererpopulations that inhabited the region for approximately 6,000 years. Theresearch made it possible to explain the power relations that operate in thelink between present and past, framed in the communicative interactions betweensubjects, their past and archaeological heritage. Likewise, the bookcontributes elements for the elaboration of policies of distinction, dissemination,and preservation of the archaeological record.
