Power of the Word is a book about how to pray; a guide on how to use the right words anytime you pray. The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, although this does not mean they had not been praying. But it just shows that many times when you think you are praying, you are actually blabbing, as the Bible refers to the repeating of words. Praying to God takes more than shouting, crying, or beating yourself and everything around you to attract God's attention to answer you. The Lord's Prayer provided a good example of that: "Our father who art in heaven ...." It shows God you know his position in your life and in the word. So choosing the right words when you pray goes a long way in your prayers.
