WITH NO NEED FOR A NAME collects one hundred poetic stills from author/poet James Goertel, which collectively act as a powerful and poignant meditation on the natural world and mankind's place in it. The poems in WITH NO NEED FOR A NAME were conceived as snapshots intended to capture and collect ephemeral moments and concrete observations through a personal lens in a type of literary photo album. In doing so, Goertel has created a collection which functions in the same way forgotten then found, black and white photos do, pulling simultaneously at both emotions and memories, upon both the heart and the mind.
