Cold Winter

The year 1948 had proved to be a difficult year for many farmers and families outside a small Texas town. The year would prove to be especially hard on the Bryson family. The Bryson's young sons, John & Leroy, helped to save the family farm from extreme heat and drought through the spring and summer of 1948. However, nothing could prepare the family for the winter that would follow. The winter storm was prolonged by an unexpected journey and it would become a winter of the soul.
