Lucy'S Path

Lucy grows up the only daughter on a farm full of boys. She goes about her daily chores and spends time with Billy. Although young, she falls in love with Billyand him with her. As they grow together, they plan to marry, but that is when everything changes. Her parents borrowed money from Mr. Simmons, and when they cant pay up, an agreement is made. The only way Lucys family can keep their property is for Lucy to marry Simmons, but she is horrified. Simmons is so much older than her, and Lucy has loved Billy her whole life.
