A Play From Mesis Valley

A Play from Mesis Valley by Clement Kiprotich Kiptum This play has six characters. There are three females: Sina, Pasta and Mary; three males: Kip, Ole and Lemiso. Ole's wife is Sina and they have a son called Kip whose friend is Lemiso. Pasta is a lady who has a church next to Ole's compound while Mary is a white old lady who falls in love with Kip. The scenes are in the church, in the compound of Ole, in the bus, in the grazing field and lastly in a marathon venue. The play touches many things that happen in church, challenges of herding, family quarrels at home and infatuation in boys as well as alcoholism in the society. It also includes challenges of studying at university and finding work. This play is unique because it has some true story as well as fiction which cannot have been captured by another person. The play has unique twists and turns.
