These experiences changed Elmer from a shy underachiever into a fierce determined criminal defense lawyer with a reputation as a daring risk taker. In a bizarre coincidence when he was in Europe on a mission to recover art stolen by the Nazis, he met the man who captured him and they became friends and business associates And while engaged in his second career as a consultant in recovering stolen art, he rekindled a love affair which began long ago while he was in high school.
