A Walk In The Park.

The book is intended as an interactive activity book between children and adults. To listen to their surrounding, to be observant, creative and use their imagination to draw what we see for 5 days in a row. The 6th day the children will make a collage from the previous 5 days. Each day the children will read a few pages of the book, go outside (playground or park) observe what they see, come back to the book and draw what they observed on the space provided in the book, they will then cut the picture out and place it in a basket. The 6th day the children will glue ant tape all the pictures in the basket from the previous 5 days on the last blank page of the book, making a collage and story out of the their experiences for the week. We will also define what a collage is, furthermore define listening, closing our eyes, observing, using are other senses. The children can also act out what they see so they are interactive throughout the book. Mimicking a frog, dog, wind, losing their shoe, jumping up and down in mud puddles or flapping their arms like a butterfly. This can also help with numbers and establishing how many days are in a week and what day of the week it is. Any and all art supplies can be utilized, glitter, markers, crayons, tape, glue stick, string, paint, chalk, pastels, ext. Most of all have Fun!
