Twelve-year-old Frankie suffers from progeria, a rare aging disease, and has only a year left to live. But he has a gift. He can see chess moves farther ahead than anyone who ever played the game. He could be the world chess champion. But competing would kill him. So he celebrates his final moments of life. He plays with friends, parties with Grandpa in his mansion, and even flirts with gorgeous genetically-engineered rat girls. Life is good! Till he goes to the hospital to breathe his last. Dr. Barrigan, his mentor, struggles to develop a stem cell treatment to cure him.
