This devotional is intended for us as men receive a wakeup call. We often, as men, believe that being tough, grunting, flexing our muscles, crushing cans on our foreheads, and other taboo things makes us a man. When we, in fact, should realize that all of those things show that we have very definitive faults and how mislead we are about what it takes to be a real MAN. Being THE MAN is about discovering it's not about the money we make, the size of our house, or the clothes that we wear. It's about knowing our father, not the flesh-covered, earthly father, yet our father in Heaven and his son, Jesus Christ. It's about showing our families a way to God that they may have never known. It's about leading our spouse, children, and the other people in our lives to the Word of the Bible and down a path of good and faithfulness. There are many things that I have learned about myself, but none more decisive than how much I strayed away from this very concept myself. It isn't about what we want, but in the end about what God wants. This is about being THE MAN, not just a man is exactly what the ULTIMATE MAN has in store for us and the road ahead
