p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; text-align: center; font: 16.0px Garamond} "God does not call the qualified, He qualifies the called." p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 10.0px 0.0px; text-align: center; font: 10.0px Garamond} This statement is what this book is all about. It is both a compelling and challenging book based on real life experiences which have the ability to encourage others towards a victorious and changed life. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 10.0px 0.0px; text-align: justify; font: 10.0px Garamond} Ted D'Eramo has traveled many roads however very few of them were paved. He has a powerful testimony of a transformed life due to the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ. Ted spent many years in bondage to drug and alcohol addictions but has now been sober and set free from addiction since 1977. Since becoming a Christian, Ted has served in numerous ways in the church and in various ministries. For several years, he was a board member for the Bridgeport Rescue Mission and on the committee for the Kaulbach Golf Tournament for the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation. In February 1988, Ted and his wife Lucetta started the first Higher Ground Ministry meeting at Trinity Baptist Church in Fairfield, Connecticut. Ted started a transitional house for men, the Higher Ground House, which he directed for 6 years in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Ted is currently the executive director of the Higher Ground Ministry and devotes many hours supporting area meetings and starting new meetings in local churches. He and his wife feel honored to be a part of this ministry. Ted owned his own business as a mason contractor for over 52 years and is now retired. What makes Ted unique is that he never stops helping people who are seeking to find victory over addiction and other life-controlling habits. He is not afraid to meet anyone, anywhere, at any time if they are sincere and asking for help.
