And the third describes the highly classified project he worked on to evaluate McNamara's Wall, the most expensive new technology introduced in the war. The common theme that unifies these stories is the truth of what happened during that fateful year. The book includes the lessons learned and not learned in Vietnam and concludes that the war may have been a disaster for the U.S., but it created strong bonds among the men and women who served, fought, and died there.
