Brazil Rozelle, son of Indiana pioneers, wanted more from life than his country living offered. In 1889 he moved to Cincinnati, the Queen City of the West, where he met and married Edith Owens, the high society daughter of a prominent physician. Within a few years their comfortable life was changed by the opportunity to move to Los Angeles and take over a 114 acre family farm.
