Internet dating, a common social affliction of early twenty-first century America, wasn't supposed to involve a long-term commitment. It's purpose, for men was to be for sex, usually in a no-strings-attached arrangement, and anything short of a statutory way to get prostitutionalized sex, legally, and for free. Its purpose for women was to build a relationship with a man of a much higher caliber than a woman would normally meet throughout her day-to-day lifestyle habits. With women on average making significantly less money than men per year, along with that comes meeting men that make as little as they do, because access to higher paid men is not available to women making very little money. With the dawn of Internet dating, came a way for upper class men to meet, although not always lower class women, at least underpaid women, sometimes twentyfold less, as in the case of Christopher and Gwendolyn. American Sociopath is the true story, written in docu-eroticamentary format, of how an upper class man, Christopher Michaels, found the unexpected love from an underpaid, way overeducated, yet raised upper middle class, woman, environmental scientist, and former Washington DC microbiologist, named Gwendolyn Olmsted.
