700 days. High school is just 700 days. That's what they told us on our first day of freshman year. Four years filled with pep rallies, home comings, parent-teacher meetings and prom. We were promised 700 days of fun and education as we built unbreakable bonds with new and old friends. All leading to our eventual graduation. But, what they didn't mention was how our entire foundation, our entire experience could be brought tumbling down in a matter of hours. They didn't warn us or even expect that one event could shatter, destroy 700 days worth of memories. You probably remember high school as the most interesting or even the best four years of your life. But, when I think of high school, I can only remember one day. The darkest day. The day I had to watch my friends die.
