Shoestrings-No Time For Dinosaurs is a science fiction adventure meant to stimulate school age children to think about the incredible universe and our responsibility we all bear for its future. Kyle age 14, his sister Teresa, age 12 and her friend, Sonja, also age 12, find themselves in a world that existed 65 million years ago just as the comet that caused the dinosaurs' extinction is about to hit. A bizarre time travel device based on cutting edge string theory is the invention of the children's fathers. The scientists are unaware that there precocious and curious children accidentally stepped into the time capsule as it was in the process of being transported. The children find themselves in a world much different than paleontologists believed existed and witness the destruction of the dinosaurs as they try to get back to the time capsule before they, too are destroyed. In the process they discover a dinosaur called a Bambiraptor-a cross between a reptile and bird (it really existed!). Will the children escape? Will their newfound pet die, too in the destruction? Will Kyle be grounded by his father for the rest of his life! A simple shoestring from Teresa's sneaker becomes both a literal and figurative link to save, not only their own lives, but possibly all life in the past and future!
