When Quinn Cerra, the staff Geo-Archaeologist for the Woodhouse International Science Foundation goes on vacation to Rio de Janeiro, she thinks it's going to be just another two weeks of boring tourist activities. Then when she goes to a beach cafe and is approached by a mysterious man who seems to know a lot about her, a series of strange and even life threatening events is set in motion that is anything, but touristy. The man invites her to go on an expedition to find a mysterious artifact, but first they must visit a newly discovered Amazon Tribe that ties in with her research into the prehistoric colonizing of the Americas. When she gets to the village she discovers that the native tribe has been waiting for her for a very long time and that she has to finish a quest that was started thousands of years earlier. She learns that the fate of the entire planet lies in the success or failure of this quest. The only problem is that a man that has caused nothing but trouble for her since she first met him will stop at nothing to beat her to the finis and claim the prize for himself. Quinn must pass through a series of mind altering dreams, or hallucinations, brave the depths of an ancient Cenote and climb treacherous mountain cliffs. She must face wild animals and hostile tribes in the midst of a landscape that tries to kill her at every turn and in the end she must make a choice. Will she choose to save the man she loves or choose to save the world? Or is it possible, against all odds, to do both. If you like romance and adventure then you will like this edge of your seat thriller set in a primeval world of supernatural occurrences. Dare to enter the Amazon rainforest where you will face the unthinkable and the unbelievable as well as high stakes intrigue and murder for hire."
